BASIC GREY CLIPPINGS

This was a fun quick layout.
No inks, just distress and tear and glue

Today I am showcasing 'BASIC GREY'
When I work on a piece I love
to cut apart the existing paper.
I did this with the 5th Avenue alphabet sheet for my title.
All the edges are distressed before assemblage using a Tim Holtz distressing tool.
I used just a tack of glue in the center of the
FAMILY tags then brads along the top to secure them.
The strips under the 'Have Fun'
tag are actually the upc strip
to show you what is on the back,
trimmed and used like a small ribbon.
I also tore the edge that looked torn, so I could tuck an extra scrap and the matted photo underneath.
This adds interest, but not bulk.
The dragonfly is my Utee creation from this post.
