Its been a long time

Or, Once Upon a Time, this little guy showed up and changed our world!
He delights my heart.

He is over a year old now, and Momma is back to work. Which leaves me, Grandma, doing the majority of Small boy minding. If you have ever chased a toddler around, you know this is a young woman's job!! My heart is full, but my body is tired. I do manage to squeeze in a bit of scrapbooking on my days off.
Footprint ornaments from the above kit

Mintay Papers This one will be titled Forest Boy
He has overcome some obstacles. We feel extremely lucky to live in the time we do. With early medical intervention, he will be okay after all.
Side note: If you ever see a baby with two full casts on. This is not an injury caused by someone. This is a medical treatment for Talipes Equinovarus. It takes a lot of dedication and diligence from his momma and anyone caring for him.
Casts, an operation, then braces for years.

Thank You Creative Scrapbooker Magazine

Love my Sweet Granddaughter!

Creative Scrapbookers     Submission call for circles 'Winter 2023' Issue
I am very pleased with my 'Littlest Mermaid' layout!
It took me a long time to configure the pipes how I wanted them in a continuous circuit. A lot of move and turn. NOTE: I always do the dry fit first. When I finally figured it out. I took a photo so I could do the background, then recreate it.
Background paper 100% hand done with alcohol inks on Ranger Glossy paper. I used different size glasses. Shot glasses, caps, tiny splats. NOTE: Pour your ink down the side of the glass, then gently twist it and remove.
The water beads actually move on their string. I used as stretchy beading elastic. This is the inside view of the framework. I had to reinforce the edges with punched chipboard layers so the string would not pull through and ruin the photo. The layers allow the beads to move freely.
This is how I attached the string on the back so they couldn't move once they were pulled tight. Just a twisted paper clip really. Then secured with heavy duty packing tape. Added another matt over to hide the inner workings.

Thank You

Creative Scrapbooker Magazine 'pg.49' for picking up this layout for the Summer 2023 issue.
I love this little flower child of ours. It was hard to get the exact color to translate. The call was to use paste on a layout. This is 49th and Market paper and various elements from the stash.
the Notes tab pulls out to reveal journaling.

Just for fun! Thanks Pinterest and Pinners:

Altered Tin Message in a Bottle

Thank You Jaimie for the gift of
this little tin.

It is the first one I have ever worked on.

The 'Message' jar is not secure. The scroll tucked in the lower half of this tin is real Papyrus. It was cut off of an art print that came from Egypt! You can write your own message and seal it in the bottle.
Tiny sand jars are labeled
with shrinky dink tags.
The sand inside them is the real deal from vacations I have been on as well as gift sand from friends. I have an extensive sand collection!

Sigh to find this message.......

PS- I would not throw anything into the ocean.
In fact I gather garbage to when  I walk any shoreline.
