If Only...

You could see yourself through my eyes

You are to me all the colors of the rainbow

An aura that is too bright
for my eyes to look directly on.
 But, if I close my eyes...on a sigh...

I feel your small body once again..
close to my heart
warm and happy in my arms.....

your kiss upon my cheek....

Your tiny trusting hand in mine

You are the heart of me that walks

outside my body.....

When you are happy....

...I am happy

When you are sad...

 ...I am sad for you

If you have a secret...

....I will hold that

secret safe from the world
How long will this be so my dear?
"until I draw breath no longer and beyond"

Still the heart feels what it feels and I can not

tell you, mine is  breaking...

If only I knew if you have flown.....

or are you are just waiting for me to catch
you if you fall....
there are events that

once set into motion, can not easily be undone

You will hear what you wish to hear and

disregard the rest....

But, my heart feels what it feels
and disregards the rest
