Dream Catchers and Hornet Nests art journal page

My friend Arlene Grace Folk makes wonderful Dream Catchers. She gifted me with the one in the photos above. I hangs in my kitchen window. Arlene even makes giant lighted outdoor decorator ones.
Look at the details of this masterpiece.
Delicate jewel centered web work.
With Owl and Eagle feathers this hangs in my kitchen window. It makes me smile every day.

I thought it was time to do a fun layout with the photos. I always add a hornet nest to a dream catcher...because, such is life. That is real hornet nest paper along the bottom of this layout. The feathers are cut from napkin tissue.
In the mean time, back in Alberta, it is still winter here. They will be waking up soon. DH went into the attic where we knew there was one nest. However you can see when he got to the area, there were 2 big and one small. I know they eat flies and dead things. But, they also bite. These were made by the ones we call 'Black Jackets', they are black with white stripes and are particularly cranky and viciously bitie.
