I am humbled and honored to be included in this issue!!
CSM picked up this LO for the Spring 2022 Issue. The call was to showcase your love of chocolate.
Being a scrapbooker and a keeper of all interesting bits. I just happen to have on hand fun packaging ephemera from chocolates long gone. The 'Truffle Pig' packaging about sums it up for me.
The majority paper elements are packaging. I used a paint mash and crackle medium technique to give the mounting board a deep dark chocolate look. These are Faux tags. However the one peeping out at the top has the 'legend of chocolate' on it and pulls out.
Fussy cutting bits here and there, I added in a few TH dolls to show how I really feel about chocolate!
They also picked up this layout with my two siblings from 1963.
There were not a lot of photos being taken in those days. And you didn't know 'til they returned from being mailed away, exactly how they would turn out. You can see my little brother was brutally cut off the end of this photo. But, I fixed that with a graphite pencil. I have always loved this photo. I still remember wearing those pink and white dressed that our Mom made for us. I can tell by the look on our faces that she had probably had to strongly coach us to not move an inch while she took the photo.
I did a lot of fussy cutting and fitting.
AND THER IS MORE!!
A photo of our sweet darling scrapbooked in the fall issue 2021. The little one on her right hand side. She is all grown up now and found this in the store where she works. Of course she had to double down with a photo of then and now!
