WHERE BLOGGERS CREATE

Thank You Karen Valentine for hosting Your Yearly
'Where Bloggers Create 2013'  event.
Karen also did my blog background an labels. visit Valentine Design if you want help with yours. This is my third year to play with the big 'dawgs' of the creative blogging  world. Be sure and leave a comment so I know you were here.
 I always visit back.

WELCOME to my 'Happy Place'
When you walk in the door, this is probably the first thing you will see. It is an old receipt holder. I am using it to store the images of the stamps in  my collection for easy access.
Next the ribbon rack, it grows a little every year. Some things get used up, some more get added. Yes those are printers tray's tucked in behind. I am  out of wall space, but have big plans for the trays. Some of them involve finding a handy 'man' to build  whatever I dream up....
closeups

I have learned to sort by item category, then color
A pan shot of the longest solid wall. More ribbon, glass front showcase, paper stacks below, podium and the ever growing collection of 'mist'  'spritz' 'perfect pearls' 'dylusion' spray's on top
on the side of the podium, magnetic canisters full of buttons and bits of goodness.

Springtime view from the largest window
this is where I am on rainy days
SPRING BANNER
The door that never opens. Music boom box below,
tiny stamp storage on the knob {jewelry organizer},
magazine rack and the  Gypsy carousel's .
The layout in this old glass window gets changed regularly.
The hanging organizer was originally intended to be an over the bed valance holder. Works great with clips or even ornament rings.
This is the door I come in and out of. With my favorite apron waiting for me.
Thank You Ms Liz for that one.
Shockingly honest look at the desk....shameful I know.
I am one of 'those people' who can only tidy for so long, then I need to make something in the space that I have created.....'YOU ?"
I love little bits of trinkets and baubles, not to mention gaffers tapes. Love the tapes!! I guess here is where I tell you, I am a visual organizer.....I need to see it to remember I have it. I envy those spaces that have everything tidy and in closed cases.
I have tried that unsuccessfully, the only concession I have made is to label the pattern paper , and I now store that in clear cases according to manufacturer and theme.

Display table with flowers underneath ~Sand~Sea~Aqua~my favorite color pallet. Just to the left you can catch a glimpse of the altered case, read more about case HERE or table HERE
Aerial view of that table, close ups of display case HERE

Last but probably the most loved piece in my room. 'ALICE' She has a new dress for this photo shoot. Feeling very confident in white this year, and has a new little friend, "Jewels', thank you Joanne, for that one.

Just for fun an old shot of the 'room ' before I had to move it to a larger space......Hmm that desk looks the same to me.....I wonder if I am going to have to take another room...... I didn't show parts of the room that are basically the same. To see the evolution, check out the sidebar, Where Bloggers Create
'My Studio Here'   2011-2012.

Pam, so nice to see a true artist studio. I went back further to see how your little childhood house was going.... lots of love going into the gem. You may remember, I too was renovating my sauna/change house lake side at the time you pulled your little house to your property. Well, it is still a work of art, like yours. I have new pine walls and a white ceiling. The floor boards are going to get painted red wood. At the end of Jul i hope to instal a wall folding mounted table for two. Get some leather horse collars on the wall. I should post as you have on my blog. Thanks again for your tour, love her dress, and yes my small work space is full to the ceiling...smile

I love your receipt holder. What a great find and the ribbon rack is wonderful too. You've got such a beautiful view out of your window.
I also need to see my supplies and therefore like to use jars and baskets for storage.
Thank you for the wonderful tour!

Wow, what a view you have and I just love all your supplies Pam! Thanks for visiting my blog too. BTW, my Grandmother (who is no longer with us) was born in Alberta. I've always wanted to visit where she was from. Maybe I will get to visit your part of the world one of these days!

Ooh, I love your space! I too am better at making messes and working within them than on perfectly clear work tables. Thank you so much for sharing.

Hi, Pam. I'm like you in that if I don't see, I forget I have it. Your display case is beautiful and I adore your "faerytale" table. Did you paint that? :-)

You've got a great space, Pam! It looks like it reflects your personality. Ribbon heaven! I love it. I'm always looking for pretty ribbons when I'm at the craft store, although I don't always have an immediate need for it. Thanks for sharing your space!

This is a WONDERFUL room Pam! Everywhere you look, delights the eye. You did an incredible job on the table! I love that you saw "beauty" in the middle of a scrap pile. :) I'm so grateful you showed a picture of your desk. LOL. I don't feel so alone now. And I can't leave without commenting on Alice. What a stunning lady! Love her beautiful dress and pearl necklace! Thanks for sharing your space! It was wonderful to visit. :)

Hi Pam, What a wonderful creative space you have to design your magic. Such great storage and you are so organized. I know things get messy when we create. You should see my space when I am working on a project. Looks like a cyclone hit. LOL I try and keep my work table clean, but some days it's hopeless. All clean for the party though, but won't last long.
Anyway, got to make a mess to get something done.
Love your great view. It must be very inspiring.
Thank you for stopping by and your kind comment. Have a great week.
Hugs, Celestina Marie

Thank you Pam, for sharing your space. My desk usually looks quite similar to yours. Terribly difficult to be creative and tidy at the same time!
Thanks for stopping by my studio and for giving design advice. That is just what I was hoping everyone would do.

Yep, I'm coming to live at your house! I absolutely love how you have everything organized too - I too seem to be a visual organization person, but I lack the room to make it look as awesome as yours does!

Yes, yes, yes! When can I come over and play in your creative room?!?! All kinds of goodness going on in there!!! Had to go check out the details on your altered case and the table. Both turned out wonderful!!!! But don't you know I would have been on a hot tin roof having to wait a week to go back and hope that rest of the table parts were there! It's a cute little drop leaf now!!! A fun room even if I didnt' find any tuna ;)

Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such a supportive comment Pam.
I have finally finished it and the initial results are now on my blog.

As for your creative space... what can I say?! It is quite simply amazing.... so much to see and such wonderful supplies!

Having tidied away all the tools and materials of my trade I feel like pulling it all out on display again! Although, on second thoughts, if I just give it a week or so the creative chaos is sure to have crept out to recolonise every surface.

That's lot of treasures you have there and personally I think if its messy or all tidied up space, we all create in the space that makes us happy... And really its not a mess, but a fantastic mess and yes, I have my fare shares of those too (few times a week at least I would say). Is gaffers tapes the same as Washi tape? Never heard of it before.

Thanks for sharing your lovely space, happy summer to you!!!

You have a really lovely space. Someday I will too. For now I'm down in the dark basement but I am still thankful for that space. Our old house had nothing just for me. :)

Your room looks like tons of fun. I too, am very visual and must have things where I can see them and it is a constant balancing act to not be burried in a junkalanche! Thank you for sharing your space.
