AUTHENTIQUE

.My original intention was to do some Christmas layouts with this paper pack. However my Mom brought me the napkins from a trip to far far away {Norway} I am an ephemera girl, and I knew I had an old photo of my husband with the kids on his knee. I am the sentimental type, these girls are in their late teens now. Where did those days go?
Because it is grey and blacks with just a hint of green and brown, it will lend itself to any photo.
He had been working all day so his shirt isn't portrait quality.
But, like so many of my photos, I love them anyways.

I used this paper pack, and have to say Authentique
puts together a wonderful pack of heavy quality
papers and 2 full alphabet sets with words as well
as a sticker sheet to work with.
Hints for recreating this look :
Flowers are actually the snowflakes hand
cut and shaped. the '0' and '5' are from an old
set of brads, they indicate the year of the
photo was taken. I stitched around the matts
to add texture. The torn bits are done last.
I simply tear in and then fold back the edges and
insert a coordinating paper under the torn opening.
All the edges are distressed, I wanted to build on
the grungy look of the photo. The napkin was first
center mounted to a white piece of card stock with modge
podge. I then manipulated the edges by gently
scrunching them in to form a distressed type edge.

Authentique is a very versatile paper line

Wonderful job Pam! You are so daring in your design where I am as a "by the books" gal. Color me green over here!
