Feather's

 A walk in the forest
A stroll through the park....
.....Wishing for summer
to come soon.....
I am a gatherer of bits, a collector of natures beautiful discards. When I spy a feather dropped from the wing of a bird, I just have to take it home. I think I get this from my father. He always had an eagle feather in his cowboy hat. He would find them in the mountains on his pack trips. That would mean, he'd have to get off of his horse to pick it up. He always wore his hat, when he entered a room, the 'Hat' did come off. On one of the last visits he made to my house, the feather fell out and was on my table when he left. I didn't know it at the time, but it was the last time he would be in my house. I haven't scrapbooked that feather yet.
But, I will soon.....

I would be inclined to frame the feather from your father. A wonderful gift. I am a collector too. Even my friends bring nests and feathers and pieces of this and that. I have a special rock from my grandson, he is 5. He found it for me.

This piece brings back memories of times with my own dad. He would take us hiking on the weekends and teach us all about birds, showing us their nests and all the different types of eggs.
