Gecko Galz Design Team Spotlight

Today the Gecko Galz is spotlighting my creations
click on the links at the bottom to find
out more about my work there,
and to get some wonderful graphics to play with
Don't you just love this February frog stamp?

This is my own sweet Grand daughter, she is ambidextrous
She can use both hands equally to draw and write.
It was quite amazing to watch her do this as a child.

I would be a bad Grandmother if I didn't show you some
of this little girls excellent work

She did all that free hand well two free hands
I know she is an artist.

To recreate:
First you start by collaging your elements in your favorite
digital program. I then printed my piece off on a sheet of
cream color card stock, this helps take away the white
background on some of the graphics to unify the look.
Then I tore the edges away, inked with a matching
TH Distress ink. Grabbed a larger sheet of plain
card stock. Hand inked some Tattered Angels
stencils. Glued my graphic sheet down.
Then sprayed the same stencil heavily
with Glimmer mist and placed it where I wanted
the hearts to pop. I dug through the stash to find the
embellishments. They are from an old 'Elements' sheet.
Added a touch of twine, glued it all down.
Framed and watermarked it with Picmonkey
This is a simple just for fun match box creation.
Start with small match boxes, arranged however
you like. I stuck them together with double sided
tape before I decorated the outside.
I used:
Stickles, jewels, ink and tiny cutout  bees
to complete both projects

Wow! You have been busy! Gorgeous creations. Those frogs are really cute and you create the most beautiful backgrounds. Love the matchbox chest - this would make a wonderful, gorgeous way to store little bits and embellishments.

Your granddaughter has been busy too - she is very talented!

Have a great weekend!

Hugs, Dawn

Congratulations on being in the Spotlight. Fabulous pieces - especially love what you've done with the frog graphics and, being Mrs Beez, got my eye on that box! Lovely to see work from your granddaughter too.
