Altered Frame - Jamaica Dreaming

I have had this frame for a while. It was a sale piece
I picked up for a song. I took it apart to rework it to suit
my purposes. I started with a photo I printed on canvas
I cut it into two separate layers popped the center up,
touched up the waves with Gesso.
I added different mediums and mists to the edges
of the mat and the formerly black frame to extend the landscape.

Hand cut some suitable paper stuffed in some shells
and a bit of Jamaican sand in a tiny bottle.

Happy Anniversary to Us
