Just Before......

...the moment of Impact...
You know you are going to get hit
a part of you is still hopeful that by
a grace that has nothing to do with you
....you will not get hit....

the thought that flashes through my mind is..
"I have three kids in the back..
......everyone is buckled up."
.....HANG ON!!!...
Then the other vehicle is coming at us
swinging sideways, but we are going to take it
head on.
-brace-
no matter what happens
I can't pass out, the kids are in the back
... its too late...
-IMPACT-
-Air bags deploy
Hang onto the wheel....
We are across the road heading into the
opposite ditch...its steep.
I just have to hang on and hope not to roll...
I get the truck is stopped
Is everyone alright?
'Yes' they are all answering
We are pretty banged up
but it could have been so much worse...

Today I am thankful for ;
~SEAT BELTS, WE ALWAYS USE ~
~WE DRIVE A 4 x 4 TRUCK~
~I HAD THE WINTER TIRES INSTALLED~
~I WASN'T OVER DRIVING THE ROAD~
~QUICK POLICE AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE~
~THE OTHER DRIVERS ARE OKAY~

I am also thankful that the other
three kids that were suppose to be with me
were home sick or had other things to do.
Otherwise I would have had two kids in the front with me.
I am so lucky to have a daughter who just drops
whatever she is doing to come and get us.
I am thankful she is the type of girl that has
good friends that loan their vehicle at the drop
of a hat. Today, we are so thankful.

I love this truck I am thankful it took the hit for us

Always buckle your children and you up
Slow Down in the winter time
Learn exactly what to do when your car
goes into a skid !! This is vital to know !!
Ask your car dealer about the brake system
for your particular car or truck.
Ask permission and practice in an empty icy lot
this could save your family's life

A loyal companion right to the end! Poor truck! I am so glad he was there for you and you were all able to walk away from that!

Oh Pam Sweetie...
I know your guardian angels were right there surrounding each of you. Praise God, nobody was hurt, and you stayed calm and knew what to do. I know inside you were SO scared, but you remained calm. Thank goodness though, like you said the others were at home and not in the front seat today.

Have you calmed down yet? I think I would still be shaking in my boots. Your weather there looks bad.

Tomorrow will be a better day. Country hugs sweetie and so much love, Sherry
